Important Notice

Please read this Privacy Policy carefully before using our services or purchasing any products. By creating an account, logging in, or making a purchase, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Privacy Policy.

1. Introduction

Welcome to BikeTune Pro. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, protect, and handle your information when you use our website and services. We are committed to protecting your privacy and ensuring you understand your rights and responsibilities.

2. XDF Files and ECU Products

2.1 Product Description

We sell XDF (eXtensible Data Format) files, BIN files, and ECU tuning files for motorcycles. These files are digital products designed for ECU remapping and motorcycle performance tuning.

2.2 User Responsibility

By purchasing and using our XDF files and ECU products, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • Full Responsibility: You, the user, assume complete responsibility for the use, installation, and implementation of any XDF files, BIN files, or ECU tuning files purchased from BikeTune Pro.
  • ECU Modifications: Any modifications made to your motorcycle's ECU using our files are done at your own risk. You are solely responsible for ensuring compatibility with your vehicle.
  • Vehicle Safety: You are responsible for ensuring that any ECU modifications comply with local laws, regulations, and safety standards in your jurisdiction.
  • Technical Knowledge: These files require technical expertise to use properly. If you lack the necessary knowledge, you should seek professional assistance before use.
  • Warranty Implications: ECU modifications may void your motorcycle's manufacturer warranty. You are responsible for understanding and accepting these implications.

2.3 Checksum Algorithms and ECU Protection

Important Technical Notice:

Our XDF files DO NOT include automatic checksum fixing algorithms or built-in checksum correction features. Users must:

  • Use their own read/write tools that support checksum correction
  • Utilize third-party software specifically designed for checksum fixing
  • Manually calculate and apply checksums when required
  • Ensure proper checksum validation before flashing modified files to the ECU

Failure to properly correct checksums may result in ECU malfunction or damage. This is entirely the user's responsibility.

2.4 Liability and ECU Damage Disclaimer

NO LIABILITY FOR ECU DAMAGE

BikeTune Pro and its owners, employees, and affiliates accept NO RESPONSIBILITY OR LIABILITY for any ECU damage, whether direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential, that may result from:

  • Use or misuse of XDF files, BIN files, or any digital products purchased from our platform
  • Incorrect installation, flashing, or implementation of tuning files
  • Incompatibility between files and ECU hardware or firmware
  • Errors in checksum calculation or correction
  • User modifications or customizations to provided files
  • Third-party software or hardware failures
  • Power interruptions, voltage fluctuations, or environmental factors during flashing
  • Any other factors related to ECU tuning and modification

YOU ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ECU MODIFICATIONS. USE AT YOUR OWN RISK.

2.5 Software Compatibility and Limitations

Important Compatibility Information:

  • TunerPro Software: All XDF files we provide are designed and tested for use with TunerPro software. We do not guarantee compatibility with other ECU tuning software platforms.
  • Specific ECU Compatibility: Each XDF file is created for a specific ECU code, ECU number, and software version. XDF files are NOT interchangeable between different ECU versions or motorcycle models.
  • Stock File Dependency: XDF files work only with the specific stock ECU file (BIN) that you provide during consultation. Compatibility is based on the information you provide about your motorcycle's ECU.
  • User-Provided Information: We create XDF files based on the ECU details, stock readings, and specifications YOU provide. If you provide incorrect information, the XDF may not function properly with your ECU.
  • No Cross-Platform Support: Do not attempt to use our XDF files with software other than TunerPro unless explicitly stated. We cannot provide support for alternative software platforms.

2.6 Password Protection and File Security

XDF File Protection Policy:

All XDF files sold on our platform are password-protected to safeguard our intellectual property and prevent unauthorized redistribution. Please note:

  • Passwords Required: All XDF files require a password to open and edit in TunerPro software
  • No Password Removal: We DO NOT accept requests to remove passwords or provide unprotected versions of XDF files
  • Protection Purpose: Password protection prevents file theft, unauthorized sharing, and protects our development work
  • Licensed Use Only: You are licensed to use the XDF file for your personal ECU tuning purposes only. Redistribution, sharing, or commercial resale is strictly prohibited
  • Password Sharing: The password is provided only to the original purchaser and must not be shared with others

Violation of these terms may result in account termination and legal action.

2.7 Beta Features and Experimental Options

Beta and Experimental Features Disclaimer:

  • Beta Status: Some XDF files may contain features, parameters, or tuning maps labeled as "BETA" or "EXPERIMENTAL"
  • Use at Your Own Risk: Beta features are provided "as-is" without any guarantees of functionality, reliability, or safety
  • No Warranty: We make no warranties regarding the performance or outcomes of beta features
  • Testing Required: Users who choose to enable or modify beta features must thoroughly test in controlled environments
  • May Not Function: Beta features may be non-functional, partially functional, or may cause unexpected ECU behavior
  • Optional Use: You are not required to use beta features. They are provided for advanced users who wish to experiment
  • No Support Guarantee: Technical support for beta features is limited and provided on a best-effort basis
